Yamaha's next-generation 4.2-litre F300 Offshore outboard combines a high performance, big block V6 featuring outstanding power and fuel efficiency with the availability of Yamaha-exclusive built-in Digital Electric Steering and Thrust Enhancing Reverse Exhaust system.
BUILT-IN DIGITAL ELECTRIC STEERING
The same smooth, fast and precise Digital Electric Steering (DES) introduced on the XTO Offshore is now built-in to F300 and F250 V6 variants. The latest boat steering technology provides smooth, fast steering and, unlike some conventional steering systems, draws battery amperage only when actively in use.
THRUST ENHANCING REVERSE EXHAUST
Thrust Enhancing Reverse Exhaust keeps exhaust bubbles above the anti-ventilation plate and out of the propeller below 2500 rpm when in reverse. This means the prop bites only clean water, resulting in outstanding reverse thrust and control to back down on fish. It’s especially effective when combined with the fast precision of Digital Electric Steering and Helm Master EX Full Manoeuvrability, which is helpful around docks and confined spaces.
TOTALTILT(TM)
Yamaha’s exclusive TotalTilt(TM) function allows complete tilt up from any position with a simple double push of the “UP” trim/tilt button, or full tilt down (until trim ram contact) by the same double push of the “DOWN” trim/tilt button. There’s also a new built-in integrated tilt limiter to help prevent inadvertent damage. Plus, built-in DES models tilt higher out of the water than previous models, which helps lessen the potential for corrosion.
HELM MASTER EX COMPATIBLE
The new Helm Master EX DEC control brings modern amenities like speed control, trim assist and station selection to all DEC installations, in addition to useful convenience features like single-lever operation and centre engine only to multi-engine DEC applications.
Even more charging power: Using Phase Angle Control (PAC), which adjusts the intensity of the stator’s magnetic field, XTO Offshore 450 models produce up to 96 net amps per engine in neutral. The new XTO Offshore provides more power for today's popular on-board, high-demand devices like gyro stabilizers, air conditioning, sound systems, and more, all while keeping starting batteries constantly charged.
Highest compression ratio in an outboard: Get more "bang" from every spark with a 12.2:1 compression ratio: better efficiency, more power and incredible throttle response.
Plasma-fused sleeveless cylinders: This micro-textured surface is 60 percent harder than steel, yet significantly lighter and thinner, increasing displacement without increasing the size of the powerhead. Other benefits include reduced friction, faster heat transfer and improved fuel economy.

EVEN MORE CHARGING POWER
Using Phase Angle Control (PAC), which adjusts the intensity of the stator’s magnetic field, XTO Offshore B models produce up to 96 net amps per engine in neutral. And since the electric steering only requires power while moving the engine, there is more power to spare while idling or trolling - when boaters need it most!

EXTREME XTO OSTM PROPELLERS
Yamaha's new family of XTO OS Propellers are made to complement the torque potential of the Yamaha XTO, working as an integral part of a system to produce massive thrust in both forward and reverse. With new stainless steel material, they are also more resistant to corrosion and surface discolouration.
MULTI-PART COWLING SYSTEM
The cowling and engine covers on the XTO are in multiple pieces for easier access to specific parts of the powerhead and midsection. These are integrated using captive fasteners and a special one-piece seal.
IN-BANKTM EXHAUST
Yamaha's exclusive In-Bank exhaust improves flow with intake tracks entering the cylinder head from both sides of the powerhead, allowing space for exhaust gases to have a direct route to the lower unit and out the propeller hub.
THRUST-ENHANCING EXHAUST ROUTING
Below 2500 rpm, engine exhaust is directed away from the propellers for "cleaner" water and added bite in both forward and reverse, maximizing command and control at lower speeds.
WIDER TILT RANGE
At full extension, the XTO Offshore has been engineered to allow the entire motor and lower unit to be raised completely out of the water for added convenience.
